With seriousness, sass, and certainty, Bree With The Beatz shows us what she’s made out of. She’s got grit, she’s got the bars, and she’s got delivery.

HIP-HOP/RAP

Today is about “Breewiththebeatz Duhhh.” It would be foolish of us to sleep on a female rapper/producer/engineer triple threat. The Chester-based rapper/producer is making a statement with strong bars and a warped guitar instrumental with hard hitting 808’s. Bree Beatz refuses to be a self conscious woman and asserts her presence through her hustle.

The topic of the conversation, Bree Beatz is a hard hitter on “Percision”. She makes a statement right from the get go on her intro. “They don’t know what to do with the beats, they don’t know what to do with the bars.” Here we receive insight from the artist/producer about her sentiments towards the lack of execution many artists fail to do within the world of SoundCloud Hip-Hop. Within the first minute of the song, the listener gets a glimpse into Bree’s personality with some of her snarkiest bars on the song like “If he’s cute getting loot, I’m pressing” and “Saying period like an affirmation, I’m the topic of the conversation /Get me out I lose some patience, don’t know the boy no relations,” Bree With The Beatz is humorous while maintaining the seriousness in her flow and delivery, but make no mistake, she is all about her business. She makes that very clear in the hook. “When you have shit to do you not worried about the gram. And when you love yourself you not worried bout a man. This some shit I’m not proud of, but I do the best I can; if a babe got a problem she can catch these hands.” On her third verse, she switches up the tone and whispers; giving us the impression she can be silent and deadly.

There are a few concepts present in the song that show us what the rapper/producer is capable of. Her humor resonates with me a lot. I am a huge fan of delivery and quotable punchlines and she executes comedic bars well while maintaining her confident tough persona. Her production with the distorted guitar in the background is subtle, eerie and an interesting choice for a Rap song with the lyrical content it contains. It helps her stand out from the crowd. I look forward to seeing what’s next for Bree Beatz.
